Pete and Cassi had their baby girl tonight:  Corynn.   And sorry, I don’t know how long she was, or how much she weighed.  I do know that Pete sounded very excited on the phone… the first thing he said was “She’s here!  And she’s perfect!”.  That’s a happy new father!

If anyone knows why it is so important to know the length and precise weight of a newborn (to the ounce, no less), I would love to be enlightened.  You always see the announcement in a newsletter or something somewhere and it says:  “Mike and Celia Wazowski celebrated the birth of their new baby boy Zippy, who was 21 inches long and weighed 9 lbs 8 ozs.   Why the measurements?  By the time it’s in print, Zippy’s measurements are out of date already…   I guess its tradition?
