I had a lot of fun last weekend putting together a baby shower for one of my friends. I love being creative and putting forth the effort to make a great handmade shower.
Everything put together:

Vanilla cupcakes tinted blueish green with orange frosting. To make the orange frosting add OJ in place of water/milk with a butter-cream recipe also add orange flavor in place of vanilla. They are so good.
I used a branch from a pear tree. Warning: these smell awful so use a small branch. I cut out raindrops for people to write messages to the baby. I also made coordinating umbrellas to hang from the tree. I thought they turned out cute.
The festive banner ( Thanks Amy for your crafty help on this!)
I used a 1 inch circle punch, scrapbook paper, lemon drops, floral foam and paintbrushes to create this fun table piece.
Love these: They were fun to make and looked very cute. Big plus, everyone only takes one. You don’t run out of forks or napkins.
Yummy food is always a plus for a great shower.
The best part of the shower was getting to spend time with friends.
